Your partner in every technical challenge

About Our On-Site Services

At Telor Power Engineering Ltd., we undertake on-site inspections and electrical measurements either following our own design studies or as independent assignments.

Our field of activity covers both public and private sector projects, Renewable Energy installations, as well as industrial and commercial facilities involving electromechanical applications.

We place strong emphasis on compliance with applicable standards in every task.
Through continuous training, we remain up to date with the latest developments in technologies and software tools, ensuring the highest quality conditions and results for our clients.

Power Quality Measurements

Our office is equipped with Class A Power Analyzers by Metrel, enabling us to perform comprehensive power quality measurements in any low or medium voltage installation.

Power quality measurements with Metrel Class A analyzer

These measurements include:

  • Harmonic analysis and Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) in current and voltage
  • Power factor measurement and evaluation
  • Voltage variations (sags, swells, and flicker) — slow, rapid, and transient
  • Frequency variations
  • Voltage unbalance
  • Electromagnetic transients — oscillatory and impulsive events
  • Energy consumption analysis and load profile management

Finally, a comprehensive report is delivered, including detailed analysis of the electrical disturbances observed and recommended corrective actions for improvement.

Earth Resistance, Step & Touch Voltage Measurements

Our office specializes in grounding measurements for High, Medium, and Low Voltage installations.

Grounding resistance and step/touch voltage measurements

We can perform the following types of measurements:

  • Measurement of soil resistivity to evaluate site suitability for substation installation and to support accurate earthing system design.
  • Measurement of the earthing system resistance to verify compliance with ADMIE, DEDDIE, and ELOT 60364 standards.
  • Measurement of the lightning protection system resistance to ensure it meets the design specifications and operates effectively.
  • Measurement of step and touch voltages within Medium or High Voltage substation areas.

Finally, energization of the grounding electrode during a fault condition introduces a potential electric shock hazard to personnel present in the area.
Therefore, it is essential to determine the exposure risk level and define the appropriate protective measures to ensure safety.

Electrical Installation Testing & Inspection

After the completion of an electrical installation, or after several years of operation, a full inspection and certification must be carried out in accordance with ELOT 60364:2020, followed by the issuance of the official Installer’s Declaration of Conformity.

For this purpose, we conduct an on-site inspection of your installation and perform all required electrical tests to ensure proper functionality and safety according to applicable standards.
Afterwards, we provide improvement recommendations and proceed with the certification documentation.

  • Documentation and mapping of all installation components
  • Visual inspection for visible damage and verification of material compliance with specifications
  • Continuity testing of protective conductors
  • Insulation resistance measurement
  • Verification of circuit separation (SELV / PELV systems)
  • Measurement of floor and wall resistance in critical areas
  • Verification of protective device coordination and safety conditions
  • Measurement of fault loop impedance (Zs)
  • Voltage drop assessment
  • Completion of documentation, single-line diagrams, and issuance of the official Electrical Installation Certificate (Υ.Δ.Ε.)

Modern electrical systems are far more complex than in the past — incorporating photovoltaic systems, EV chargers, and variable-demand loads.
These elements increase system complexity and potential risk, making comprehensive and meticulous testing essential to achieve a reliable and compliant installation.

We emphasize this approach, providing high-quality electrical inspections for industrial facilities, building installations, outdoor systems, lighting networks, public buildings, photovoltaic installations, EV charging infrastructure, and medium-voltage distribution or substation installations.

Industrial Troubleshooting & Fault Diagnosis

Industrial Power Quality Analysis and Troubleshooting

We collaborate with industrial facilities and technical organizations in Greece and internationally, providing industrial troubleshooting services, power quality analysis, and resolution of complex technical issues.

In modern industrial installations, faults do not always appear as a complete shutdown of operation.
They often manifest as instability, random tripping, overheating, unexplained voltage dips, increased energy consumption, or premature equipment failures.

For this reason, systematic technical investigation is required rather than fragmented interventions.
The Industrial Troubleshooting & Fault Resolution service aims to identify the true root cause of the problem, provide technically documented corrective actions, and prevent future failures.

  • On-site inspection and technical mapping of the installation
(switchboards, feeders, loads, motors, inverters, UPS systems, generators)
  • Analysis of operating conditions and load behavior
(steady-state & transient loads, peaks, motor starts, backup systems)
  • Power Quality measurements and analysis
(harmonics, unbalance, voltage dips/overvoltages, flicker, power factor,
    long-term logging and event correlation)
  • Grounding and fault loop testing
    (functional and protective grounding systems)
  • Investigation of unwanted protective device tripping
(RCDs, MCCBs, ACBs, electronic protection systems)
  • Motor and starting condition assessment
(inrush currents, thermal stress, interaction with inverters)
  • Evaluation of equipment interaction
(photovoltaic systems, BESS, EV chargers, UPS systems, generators)
  • Preparation of a technical report and corrective action proposals

Upon completion of the investigation, a detailed technical report is delivered, documenting the root cause of the fault and providing targeted corrective and optimization measures.

The objective is not merely the temporary restoration of operation, but the reliable, safe, and long-term performance of the installation, with a reduced risk of recurring failures.

Modern installations are characterized by increased complexity, as they include photovoltaic systems, energy storage systems, electric vehicle chargers, variable loads, and sensitive electronic equipment.

This complexity increases operational risk and makes in-depth, technically documented assessments essential.

Working Methodology – On-Site & Remote Engineering

Our services are provided both through physical presence (on-site) and remotely, depending on the nature and complexity of the issue.

For international projects and cases where continuous on-site presence is not required,a structured remote engineering investigation process is applied.

The remote process includes:

  • Provision of detailed installation and configuration instructions for the measurement equipment we supply,
specifically tailored to the requirements of each installation.
  • Installation of the equipment by the facility’s technical personnel or a local partner,
    following predefined and controlled procedures.
  • Remote data acquisition, processing, and analysis performed by our engineering team.
  • Correlation of measurements with equipment, loads, motors, inverters,
    generators, and backup systems.
  • Identification of the primary root cause of failures and delivery of technically documented corrective recommendations.

Through this approach, reliable diagnostics are achieved without geographical limitations, with reduced cost, faster response times, and a high technical standard, equivalent to that of on-site investigations.

We provide Industrial Troubleshooting services to industrial facilities, electromechanical systems, substations, generator and UPS installations, photovoltaic systems, energy storage systems, electric mobility infrastructure,as well as critical high-availability facilities.
